We require a self-starting, enthusiastic HR & Office Administrator working part time, twenty five hours per week, to support our HR processes and our busy management office. You will be working on all aspects of HR administration, including managing the administration of recruitment rounds, induction of new staff, on-going maintenance of staff records, including employee appraisals, training records, leave administration, administration of benefit schemes, liaison with payroll providers,  and support all general office administration tasks.

Previous experience, working in HR administration and good familiarity with current UK employment law would be an advantage. In addition, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, have a self-starting attitude, be able to manage your time effectively and have a natural enthusiasm for working in HR and general administration.

 

Research Scientist

Location: Oxford, UK

We are seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Research Scientist to join our R&D team. You will play a key role in the development of new immunological products and services and will be required to interact across teams internally and well as with external parties. The work will require the ability to fit in well as part of a team but also to work independently. You may also be involved with aspects of GxP regulatory compliance.

Experience/skills required: Preferably educated to PhD level in Biochemistry, Immunology or related scientific discipline, with a strong publication record. You will need to have in-depth knowledge of protein biochemistry, molecular biology, molecular and cellular immunology and assay development. Experience in antibody engineering, protein-protein interaction and binding affinity measurements would be highly desirable.

We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion. Experience in supervising the work of others and managing suppliers would also be an advantage. You will need to demonstrate a self-starting attitude, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, original thinking and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

 

Laboratory Assistant (Protein Synthesis)

We require a degree-qualified Laboratory Assistant to join our Protein Synthesis team. This job will involve working with proteins and we will favour applicants who can demonstrate some understanding of basic techniques such as protein analysis and quantification, protein purification, and gel electrophoresis. You must have excellent organisation and time-management skills, and an aptitude for quality and precision work as demonstrated by your previous accomplishments.

Full training will be provided and this position offers a good opportunity for candidates who are excited about working in a scientific company.

 

Commercial Contracts / IP Lawyer

We are seeking a savvy lawyer with meticulous attention to detail to work part time as a contractor from home with an ability to accommodate between five and ten hours per week. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of commercial contracts with leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as governmental and academic organisations worldwide. Since our business and that of our customers revolves around bringing scientific innovation to market, there is a strong element of intellectual property law in many of our contracts.

We require a qualified solicitor with substantial prior experience working in commercial and IP law, preferably at partner or similar senior level. A degree background in biological sciences and any previous experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage. Prospective candidates should also demonstrate commercial acumen, as well as excellent communication/negotiation, and time management skills.

 

Laboratory Assistant (Cellular Services)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Laboratory Assistant to join our Cellular Services team. The successful candidate will be involved in carrying out our unique range of cellular assays involving flow cytometry, intracellular cytokine staining, and ELISPOT analysis.

Ideal candidates should be degree-qualified in Biochemistry or a similar biological science discipline, coupled with good hands-on experience in tissue culture. In addition preference will be given to applicants who have experience in cellular techniques such as flow cytometry, or protein analysis techniques such as ELISA. Prior experience of working to GxP regulatory standards would also be an advantage. You must have excellent organisation and time-management skills and an aptitude for quality and precision work.
