Strategy and Marketing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Strategy and Marketing Manager, to join our management team.
In this exciting new role you will:

  • Develop and implement business and marketing strategies for our global immunology and life science business.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for ProImmune’s ground-breaking Ankyron life science reagents business across life science research and diagnostic applications.
  • Identify and develop synergies between Ankyron reagents and ProImmune’s established business in immunology including its established global contract research business for specialist immunology assays.
  • Lead corporate communications and strategy for ProImmune’s global programs to support new research into under-funded areas, including infectious diseases, orphan diseases, global animal health, agricultural biology, anti-microbial resistance, and host-vector interactions.
  • Develop strategic collaborations engaging government agencies and industrial partners world-wide working in areas related to life science research on all areas set out above.)

You will be educated at least to Bachelors level in a life science, and preferably have an MBA from a well-recognized business school and/or prior business strategy / strategic marketing experience. We are looking for an analytical individual with a strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills who is able to grow in the role along with our expanding business.

Post-Doctoral Research Scientist

We are seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Post-Doctoral Research Scientist to join our R&D team. You will play a key role in the development of new products and services and will be required to interact across teams internally and well as with external parties. The work will require the ability to fit in well as part of a team but also to work independently.

Experience/skills required: Educated to PhD level in Biochemistry, Immunology or related scientific discipline, with a strong publication record. You will need to have in-depth knowledge of protein biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and assay development. Experience in protein engineering, protein production, protein-protein interaction measurements and molecular and cellular immunology would be highly desirable.

We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion. Experience in supervising the work of others and managing suppliers would also be an advantage. You will need to demonstrate a self-starting attitude, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, original thinking and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Ecommerce / Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a Woocommerce/WordPress/Database Developer Contractor to work on developing and maintaining our ecommerce website and internal database environments.

Required experience:

  • Woocommerce/WordPress and WordPress plugin development
  • Full stack programming knowledge with focus on Linux, PHP, MySQL, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, VBScript/MSOffice macros
  • Working knowledge of front and backend development
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools (Git)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
  • Desire to learn and take on new challenges
  • Good communication skills with ability to work with several stakeholders and cross-functional teams (who may not have a professional IT background)

Desired skills:

  • Experience setting up development environments
  • Working knowledge of AWS Cloud Computing Services
  • Knowledge of security controls
  • Familiarity with VBScript and MS Office macro programming

Flexible working on-site/off-site; Pay rate £22-£35 p/h, depending on experience.

Laboratory Technician/Cleaner

We require a lab technician/cleaner to help with routine housekeeping tasks in our busy scientific laboratories. This position would suit candidates who are self-motivated and enthusiastic about learning new skills. This is a great career opportunity for someone who would like to gain practical experience of working in a lab and your work will have a direct impact on the products and services that we provide. Full training will be provided but applicants with cleaning experience and basic computing skills would be preferred.

Candidates will be required to pass a trial period before a full contract is offered.

Hours: Part time, 20 hours per week, Salary: £13.50 per hour.
