Accounts and Office Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Accounts and Office Administrator with AAT (or similar) qualifications to join our office team.

The accounts responsibilities include all aspects of bookkeeping, including: sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, bank reconciliations, monthly management accounts, expenses / petty cash / credit cards, HMRC returns, payroll preparation, liaising with benefit providers and auditors for preparation of annual accounts. Knowledge of cross-currency transactions would also be useful. Additional office administration duties include HR support, arranging mail forwarding, maintaining office supplies and facilities management.

You should have familiarity and good working knowledge of all the duties stated and demonstrate a self-starting attitude, excellent communication and organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail with an ability to take ownership of the role with minimal supervision. Experience of Sage Line 50 or similar package is required and good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Sales and Office Administrator

We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic Sales and Office Administrator to support our busy sales and marketing office. You will:

  • be the first point of contact for customers around the world, by telephone as well as in monitoring the main email inbox
  • carry out sales order processing
  • resolve customer enquiries and escalate where applicable
  • carry out invoicing and credit control duties
  • maintain customer contact records
  • also perform general office administration tasks including assistance to our HR team; support of our marketing activities, including execution of marketing campaigns, organising international conference attendance and help to manage our website content. This includes working with our customer relationship management software to organise in- and out-bound communications as well as data handling and database maintenance.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills with a high degree of attention to detail and organisational skills, as well as have a strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including advanced MS Excel features. Experience with SAGE accounting software, CRM software and some science knowledge would also be an advantage.

Graduate Immunology Sales Specialist – Asia-Pacific

We are seeking a highly motivated person to join our Sales & Marketing team as an Immunology Sales Specialist, to contribute to the growth of our business in Asia-Pacific territories.

This role is ideally-suited to a new graduate or post-graduate with an outgoing personality looking for a financially rewarding long-term career combined with a way to capitalize on your scientific training.

You will:

  • identify new and develop existing sales opportunities and respond to customer enquiries to enable our customers to achieve their scientific goals
  • be fully equipped for the role through a combination of informal and formal training
  • manage the sales process for accounts across your territory
  • carry out visits to key prospects and customer accounts to develop and close sales, as well as to determine market trends, novel technical applications and product development / collaborative opportunities
  • identify suitable exhibitions and conferences to attend and carry out formal presentations to promote our products and services
  • communicate and perform scientific presentation in Chinese language to our Chinese speaking customers
  • demonstrate leadership with an ability to constructively challenge our customers’ thinking

  • Prior direct work experience in sales is not required, but examples of any activities where you were proactive in your communications to people in any setting should be highlighted

We are searching for a candidate who has the ability to creatively and proactively identify and develop sales opportunities around projects that often have complex requirements in organisations with multiple stakeholders. In addition, you will demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese languages have a self-starting attitude, be able to manage your time effectively and have a natural enthusiasm. Although this position will require moderate travel (up to 30%) it will mainly be home office-based working remotely.

Laboratory Technician / Cleaner

Graduate Scientist

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated Graduate Scientists to join our scientific laboratory team. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in a range of scientific areas in our laboratories, depending on prior experience, including on our unique range of cellular assays involving flow cytometry, intracellular cytokine staining, and ELISPOT analysis, as well as on our protein synthesis and molecular biology processes.

You should be degree-qualified in Biochemistry or a similar biological science discipline. Good hands-on experience in tissue culture is highly preferred. Experience in any one or more of the following techniques will be an advantage: protein expression, purification, and analysis, such as ELISA assays, molecular cloning, and other molecular biology techniques, cell-based assays, such as flow cytometry and ELISpot. You must have excellent organisation and time-management skills and an aptitude for quality and precision work.

Full training will be provided and this position offers a good opportunity for candidates who are excited about working in a scientific company.

Research Scientist

We are seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Research Scientist to join our R&D team. You will play a key role in the development of new products and services and will be required to interact across teams internally and well as with external parties. The work will require the ability to fit in well as part of a team but also to work independently.

Experience/skills required: Preferably educated to PhD level in Biochemistry, Immunology or related scientific discipline, with a strong publication record. You will need to have in-depth knowledge of protein biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and assay development. Experience in protein engineering, protein production, protein-protein interaction measurements and molecular and cellular immunology would be highly desirable.

We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion. Experience in supervising the work of others and managing suppliers would also be an advantage. You will need to demonstrate a self-starting attitude, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, original thinking and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
