Fluorotag

Unlabeled Pro5® MHC Pentamers used in conjunction with R-PE or APC labeled Pro5® Fluorotag or biotin labeled Pro5® Biotag are perfect for long-term studies as they can be stored at -80°C. Unlabeled Pentamers are for use in two-layer staining, but the number of steps stays the same as for directly labeled reagents, since the Pro5® Fluorotag or Biotag can be added along with anti-CD8 or other fluorescent-labeled antibodies. The Pro5® Biotag significantly expands the applications in which unlabeled Pentamers may be used. Biotag labeled Pentamers may be used in flow cytometry to take advantage of the large variety of fluorochromes available conjugated to streptavidin. Biotag also allows Pentamers to be used with streptavidin coated paramagnetic beads for the separation of antigen-specific T cells and for expanding cells in culture.
