Custom Reagents made Simple and Accessible
Ankyron generation uses a scalable selection process allowing multiple proteins to be screened in parallel in a rapid and cost-effective manner. This sits in contrast to monoclonal antibody generation, which requires immunization and cloning approaches, resulting in a high cost, inefficient development process. We aim to improve the availability and accessibility of reagents across the research community with no additional associated costs for new targets as set out below.
Our Custom Process
Step 1. Target Request: If Ankyrons to your target of interest are not already in our catalog contact us to receive a target request form. This takes ~15 mins to complete and includes information about your current research, protein of interest and application requirements. All requested targets will go in to internal review and are subject to our acceptance at our discretion. Since we are interested in achieving very broad coverage of targets with Ankyrons across many research area the majority of requests are currently approved.
Step 2. Ankyron Generation: If your request is approved, we will generate your target(s) of interest in our AnkyronX platform, with optimized targets designed and produced by our team. Resulting targets will be screened against our Ankyron teralibrary using ribosome display, with binding of resulting clones confirmed by immunoassay. All reagents are monoclonal and recombinant by default.
Step 3. Catalog Addition: Ankyrons that we generate as confirmed binders to your target(s) of interest will be added to our catalog and you will be notified that they have become available. You can then purchase these Ankyrons for testing at our standard catalog prices (no extra charge is levied for their generation).
Step 4. Your Research: Test multiple Ankyron clones in the application of your choice to select your preferred clone going forward. In addition we may be able to pre-qualify your clones of interest further internally at ProImmune before you order them from our catalog. Flexible labeling options and scalable expression are available at all times to accommodate research requirements going forward.
